Hit the river hard today...swinging streamers and nymphs....hooked into some beasts...

My first of the day swinging a black leech through a great little riffle..
that's right..a sucker to get the skunk out

To the real battle...

My biggest landed of the day...

Dustin getting into some tow truck lovin'...

Steve getting his fair share as well...

Unfortunetly the fellas did not land any of their fish today...the day was bright, fishy, a little smelly...no one was injured, no one was wet...flies were lost...I had a treble hook sunk into my shoe....a few near horrific hookings of each others faces...a jolly good time...not bad for the first time these two guys have fished for salmon....

  1. Nice fish man! The North Shore streams are really smelly now as well. The sucker is a Northern Hog Sucker, very cool little fish. The telltale black lips gave them the nickname "Goth Sucker".

  2. Hey Pat... I added you to my blog and hope you don't mind but posted your PUNK ROCKER. Damn shame about the Schoharie. I was sick for three weeks due to drinking polluted water. We should go steel-heading some time, the Oswego is nice this time of year. Congrats on all the success! Hi to Dustin.
