ReplyDeleteJust read your interview. I really enjoyed your portion on warm water fishing. I too love the warm water aspect of fly fishing. I have always fly fished, but never really got back into it until my daughter married a guy from Tennessee 3 years ago. He carried me trout fishing before he married my daughter and that one trip set me off, and from then on I was hooked. Bass fishing has always been my biggie when it comes to fishing but the fly fishing now has completely erased the passion to bass fish with rod and reel.
You mentioned in your interview that Smallmouth was your favorite species to go after with the fly, I agree with you as far as the fight is concerned. The fish never knows when to stop fighting.
As for your flies I can attest to them up close and personal. The craw I used recently on one of my trips was the most realistic looking craw I have ever fished with, not to mention its fish catching abilities. Needles to say I will be ordering more flies from you in the future. Lastly, just wondering if you have ever heard of Troutfest in Townsend Tennessee? It is the second largest Trout Expo in the United States each year. Check out the link here http://www.troutfest.org/index.htm I think you should go next year and demonstrate some of your fly tying skills.
